Last Summer we had the privilege of capturing the Pakistani Wedding Photography of Omar and Sadia in Rochester, New York. This was our second time we have been in Rochester for wedding photo and video related work and I must say that there are a lot of desis in Rochester! The drive there is always wonderful as I truly enjoy the scenic drives down in the states and it’s about 3 hours from Toronto if you’re gunning it. We stayed at the Rochester Plaza Hotel, which upon first observation has a historical look to it. I wonder what famous people over the years has been in this hotel? We arrived around 1 pm so we could scout the area to lock down an area we could do their photoshoot and to our delight we also found a Tim Horton’s just around the corner. Thank you Timmies!
The event itself had about 500 people and it was a full house in the hotel’s conference room. One thing that did catch my eye was of the 2 displays that were setup that has signficance and something I hadn’t seen before. One was a table setup in dedication to Omar and his dad and the second was the lehnga that Omar’s mom wore at her wedding, how unique! Despite the slight delay in the getting part of the day, the event turned out to be a great party. Omar’s family is quite large as there were family from all across the United States. The open dance floor rocked as spinning the tunes was our very own Kamal of Dhol Toronto. It’s been a year since their event but I wish a happy anniversary to Omar and Sadia! Congratulations!
